Amid hype over their political entry, the top two actors of Tamil film industry, Rajinikanth and Kamal Haasan, on Wednesday shared the dais at a function in Chennai.
But Rajini remained ambiguous when asked if their friendship from their filmy heydays would also translate into a political alliance.
“Only time will tell,” was Rajinikanth’s reply to the Rajini-Kamal combine. The two superstars had announced their political ambitions within a month of each other.
Rajinikanth on Wednesday proclaimed that he was ready to fight the elections, whenever they may be held.
He, however, refused to answer a query from mediapersons on the possibility of allying with Kamal Haasan in the near future. Both Rajinikanth and Haasan have promised to fight corruption and provide Tamil Nadu with a transparent and responsive government.
“I always thought Kamal will start a political party before me,” Rajini said, wishing Kamal the best of luck.
