Madhavan to act in Vikram Vedha Hindi remake?

Madhavan has confirmed that the Hindi remake of Vikram Vedha will start rolling this year. However, he said it’s too early for him to talk about the lead actor who will be reprising Vijay Sethupathi’s role.

“We want someone who can give us dates and have an enormous market”, said Madhavan, while speaking at the trailer launch of Breathe, his upcoming web series for Amazon Prime Video.

He is also not sure whether to repeat his character in the Hindi remake or not.

"Some actor who will give us a great date and an enormous market. But it is too premature for me to talk about it," the actor said.

"I don't know whether I will be doing it also, because it is actually a burden of love more than a creative call. I have always shied away from remaking my own stuff in a different language, except from 'Rehna Hai Tere Dil Mein'. But I can assure you that it is being made this year for sure," he added.

Vikram Vedha, a thriller film written and directed by Pushkar and Gayathri, features Madhavan and Vijay Sethupathi as an earnest police officer and a notorious don from North Chennai respectively.
