Sarkunam has started his own production house ‘Varmans Productions’ and the first film under his banner is K2, the sequel of his debut hit film Kalavani.
This second installment will also have Vemal and Oviya playing the leads. Sarkunam will be producing and directing this venture, which has been titled as K2.
Sivakarthikeyan announced this project through his tweet, "Kalavani team s back with #K2 ..Happy to launch the title logo😊😊Best Wishes to @ActorVemal na @OviyaaSweetz @Asarkunam_dir & full team for a big success".
Kalavani, the romantic comedy film that released in 2010 was directed by Sarkunam and produced by Nazir of Sherali Films. Apparently, Nazir has officially registered the title of Kalavani 2 as well, not to be mistaken with K2 to be directed by Sarkunam.
Nazir says he has registered Kalavani 2 title in the producer council and will soon start filming. He adds that his team is working on the casting right now.
K2 is Oviya’s second film after her Bigg Boss debut. The actress is also playing a pivotal role in Raghava Lawerence’s Kanchana 3.
