Law and order poor in TN: Tamilisai

State president of the Bharatiya Janata Party Tamilisai Soundararajan today said that law and order situation in the State has deteriorated and there is an increase in crimes.

Talking to the media, she said the AIADMK government in Tamil Nadu has failed to maintain law and order in the state.

"Deputy chief minister O Panneerselvam is saying Tamil Nadu is a haven of peace. But only here birthday cake is being cut with a sickle (by don Binu who surrendered before the police recently)."

Only a few days ago, Union minister of state for finance and shipping threw a bombshell alleging that Tamil Nadu has become a training ground for extremists and these elements are plotting terror plans for the next 10-20 years.

"If you think Tamil Nadu is peaceful, that is not the case. It’s no longer the Eden of peace but has turned into a training ground for extremists. These forces are into long-term plans to unleash terror in the next 10-20 years," he said in Coimbatore.

The Minister accused the state government of not allowing to pay homage to those who were killed in the serial blasts that rocked the city 20 years ago claiming 52 lives and leaving scores injured during an election rally to be addressed by BJP veteran L K Advani.
