The public meeting to be addressed by actor Kamal Haasan in Madurai this evening, hours after the launch of his party in Rameswaram in the morning, is going to be a grand political spectacle.
Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal will attend the launch of Haasan's political party in Madurai, the actor's camp said.
Kerala CM Pinarayi Vijayan, unable to attend the rally, has agreed to send a “video message” to Haasan, wishing him success for his new party, reports said.
Actor-director and Naam Tamizhar Party Founder on Tuesday met Kamal Haasan at his Alwarpet residence. Wishing him all the best on his political journey, Seeman told reporters that it's nice that Kamal was embarking on his political journey as both of them were from the same soil.
While announcing his tour earlier this year, Haasan had said he intended to “embark on a journey across the state to truly understand as to what the needs of my people are, what is affecting them, what their aspirations are…. This momentous journey of meeting people across Tamil Nadu is neither an act of rebellion nor is it a gathering for glamour.

He met Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan, AAP leader and Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, Veteran CPI Leader R Nallakannu, former Chief Election Commissioner T N Seshan, actor Rajinikanth, who too have confirmed his entry into politics, DMK president and former Chief Minister M Karunanidhi and DMDK founder Vijayakanth.
