Vijay Sethupathi, Simbu to shoot together in foreign country

Now that the shoot of Mani Ratnam's Chekka Chivantha Vaanam has resumed after the TFPC strike, Vijay Sethupathi has joined the sets of the movie.



Sources say that Mani Ratnam will also be soon shooting an important scene between STR and Vijay Sethupathi in a foreign country.



The movie has a ensemble of cast including Arvind Swamy, Arun Vijay, Simbu, Vijay Sethupathi, Jyothika and Aishwarya Rajesh.



Made jointly by Lyca Productions and Madras Talkies, it features music composed by A. R. Rahman, cinematography by Santosh Sivan and editing by Sreekar Prasad.



Actors including Prakash Raj, Thiagarajan, Mansoor Ali Khan and Jayasudha play other pivotal roles. Principal photography of the film commenced in February 2018. The film will also be dubbed in Telugu as Nawab.



Following a brief break after the release of Kaatru Veliyidai (2017), Mani Ratnam chose to begin pre-production on his next film by June 2017 and brought in composer A. R. Rahman and cinematographer Santosh Sivan for the project.
