Ex-Chief Secy Gave Wrong Info On Jaya's Health: CM

Chief minister K Palaniswami has accused former chief secretary P Rama Mohana Rao of providing wrong information about late chief minister J Jayalalithaa's health.

He alleged that Rao had claimed that certain Ministers were present at the Apollo Hospitals when AIADMK leader Jayalalithaa suffered a cardiac arrest on December 4, 2016, only to shield somebody.

Rao was trying to shield somebody in this regard, Palaniswami told reporters at the Coimbatore airport, without naming anyone.

Rao had reportedly told the Justice Arumughaswamy Commission of Inquiry, which is probing Jayalalithaa’s hospitalisation and death, that Electricity Minister P. Thangamani, Municipal Administration Minister S.P. Velumani, Lok Sabha Deputy Speaker M. Thambi Durai and a few others were present when Jayalalithaa suffered a cardiac arrest.

On the Cauvery issue, he said this cannot be solved through Twitter or Facebook, but legally.
