At a time when the strike in the film industry has ended after 48 days, Udhayanidhi Stalin has created a flutter with a tweet.
“Like the IPL matches, will film releases also be postponed till the Cauvery Management Board is set up? It would attract the attention of the non-performing Central and State Governments," he said in a tweet.
The strike by Tamil Film Producers Council, which completely paralysed the functioning of the industry, came to end on Fridaynight, after lengthy tripartite talks in Chennai.
Recently, many Tamil filmmakers had protested against holding IPL matches in Chennai, arguing that the sporting event would be a distraction from the Cauvery protests.
The likes of filmmakers Bharathiraja, Ameer, Gowthaman, Naam Thamizhar chief Seeman, Thamizhaga Vazhvurimai Katchi's founder Velmurugan painted the town red on 10 April by staging protests all across city as Chennai Super Kings played Kolkata Knight Riders at Chepauk.
