Dhanush, who is making his Hollywood debut with a film titled The Extraordinary Journey of The Fakir, is playing a street magician in the film.
The name of the character played by him is Ajatashatru Oghash Rathod. He said, "It’s a very positive film," Dhanush said, and added that he has “a solid scope to perform.”
Interestingly, Vijay plays a magician in his upcoming flick Mersal. The 'Thalapathy' plays a triple role in the film, which is bankrolled by Sri Thenandal Studios.
Macedonian magician Gogo Requiem, the main consultant for Vijay’s tricks in the film, told fans during his Twitter interaction: "We made pure art and people in India and all around the world will enjoy it".
The three roles feature him as a panchayat head, a doctor and a magician. The movie is directed by Atlee and has music by Anirudh Ravichander.
The film also stars Vadivelu, Sathyaraj, Ramya Krishnan Nithya Menen, SJ Suryah, Kajal Aggarwal and Samantha Ruth Prabhu in key roles.
