Madurai’s Bavas emerges as the winner of Junior Super Stars Season 2

After weeks of nail-biting competition, and much suspense, Madurai based Bavas was declared the winner of Season 2 of Zee Tamizh’s hit talent-based reality show, Junior Super Stars. As the winner of Junior Super Star, 9-year-old Bavas was presented the magnificent Junior Super Star trophy along with prize money of Rs.5 lakh. While Bavas emerged as the winner, Karmugil Vannan and Nityashree jointly shared the first runner-up spot while Niharika was announced as the 2nd runner-up. The results were announced after multiple rounds of challenges based on various themes which were judged by actor-director Bhagyaraj, actress Roja and popular anchor Archana.

Over the past 18 weeks, Junior Super Star has set numerous challenges for the young participants who have always put their best foot forward and impressed the judges with their talent along the way. The second season of the show witnessed participation from 22 young contenders – handpicked from across Tamil Nadu. Together, these young wonders, aged between 5 and 13, have tackled the most complex themes to showcase their acting prowess. Based on their performance, the judges scored the young participants on a series of tasks and challenges testing their creativity, spontaneity and acting capabilities. But, as the finale crept up, it was Bavas’ finale act where he impersonated the famous comedian Vadivelu that completely won the judges over.

“Being a part of Junior Super Stars and winning the title was a dream come true for me. While some of the tasks were challenging, they were fun. I will always remember my days at the show because I have made so many friends from different parts of Tamil Nadu. I would like to thank Zee Tamizh for this opportunity and I hope many other children get a chance to showcase their talent on Junior Super Stars”, Bavas said.

A channel spokesperson said, “What started as a humble platform for young children to showcase their talent has today transformed into this mega stage called Junior Super Stars. This season, we have seen some truly spectacular performances from the contestants. They’ve proved to viewers time and again that good things truly do come in small packages! Their determination to be the best at all times has motivated us, at Zee Tamizh, to continue to create such opportunities for the young guns who will shape our nation. We would like to congratulate Bavas for his amazing win, and wish him all the luck for his future endeavors.”

The grand finale of Junior Super Stars was a star-studded affair hosted by Deepak Dinkar and Kiki Vijay. The entire Zee Tamizh family including actors from their fiction and non-fiction offerings including Sandra, Kamal, Maheshwari, Dinesh, Reshma, Vandhana, Kathir, Clara, Chitra and Alagappan amongst others joined in to encourage these young stars through their final battle. Eventually though, Bavas triumphed as he was crowned the winner of the second season of Junior Super Stars.
