Suriya caught in mid-sea, cops rescue him

Suriya recently visited the United States to attend a fund raising event for his Agaram Foundation, which sponsors education of needy children.

Sources say that before attending the event, Suriya went for a boat ride and unfortunately, the actor was stuck in midway.

It is said the boat he took ran out of battery at sea. The rescue cops were called to recharge the battery of his boat. The publicist of the actor has confirmed the same, clarifying that there was no accident. “The battery had run out and thus he had to wait sometime at sea before the rescue boats came and recharged it,” he said.

Suriya will be back in India soon to resume the shooting of Thaana Serndha Koottam. Thaana Serndha Koottam, directed by Vignesh Shivan.

The film has Keerthi Suresh and Ramya Krishna in key roles along with Suresh Menon and Senthil. The film is expected to hit screens in October. Music is by Anirudh.
