Vijay's actioner Mersal is probably the most expected Tamil release this season. As a Navarathri gift for Thalapathy fans, the makers on Thursday unveiled highly anticipated teaser.
The first thing that strikes is the dialogue delivery which leaves the audience guessing about the film’s subject.
“The spark of fire you set aflame, will ask you to blaze in all its glory. The deeds of karma you sowed, will wait to slice and stamp you with fury.”
What follows are crisp cuts, stylish action sequences, and grand visuals that are a delight to watch.
It is learnt Vijay is a fan of MGR in the film (one of his three roles) as you could see MGR's poster not once but twice.
What is even more fascinating is the first MGR poster can be seen when the father Vijay is fighting with someone at a theatre which was screening MGR's classic film, Uzhaikum Karangal while the second poster is visible while the son Vijay is taking push-ups at his house.
The larger-than-life setup has Vijay enthralling people with his tricks and moves. The under-two minute teaser also gives us a sneak peek into some high-octane action sequences featuring the star.
However, there is no sign of the three actresses: Samantha Ruth Prabhu, Kajal Aggarwal and Nithya Menon.
