For the past few days, news on Vijay Makkal Iyakkam, the fans organisation of Vijay, allegedly cheating a student named Rangeela from Ariyalur is spreading like wildfire.
Rangeela had allegedly approached an expelled member of the fans’ association who had duped her with promises of financial assistance. In a clarification, the fans’ association has now said that the club had no idea about the girl’s request.
Furthermore, they have offered to bear the expenses for Rangeela to pursue her higher education at a college in Kanyakumari.
In her interview to news channels, Rangeela said that members from Vijay fans club took pics of her but didn’t come forward to pay her college fees and hence, she had to discontinue her education in the second year.
Now Vijay Makkal Iyakkam took full responsibility for the issue and requested Rangeela to accept their financial assistance to continue her college education.
The head of the Vijay Makkal Iyakkam for Ariyalur region stated that the said fan was thrown out of the association long back and admitted that a false promise was made to the girl. The press release further claimed that the club was clueless about the issue until it became public.
