TN leaders greet Muslims on Milad-Un-Nabi



Leaders of Tamil Nadu have extended their wishes to Muslims in Tamil Nadu on the occasion of Milad-Un-Nabi.



Tamil Nadu governor Banwarilal Purohit said, "On the joyous occasion of Meelad-un- Nabi, I extend my heartiest greetings and best wishes to all our Muslim brothers and sisters who are celebrating, the birth of Prophet Muhammad."



"The Prophet Muhammad stood for lofty human values such as discipline, kindness, compassion and charity. Let us all, on this day, resolve to foster love and strive to promote peace and harmony in society," he added.



Chief minister Edappadi K Palaniswami said that Prophet Muhammed had preached many virtuous qualities including brotherhood and charity.



On the Birthday of Prophet Muhammad let us rededicate ourselves to lead a pure and virtuous life, restrain from evil and promote charity, compassion, unity and harmony, he added.



DMK working president M K Stalin, DMDK president Vijayakanth, MDMK general secretary Vaiko, Tamil Maanila Congress president G K Vasan and others too have greeted Muslims on Milad-Un-Nabi.
