Dhanush does it for Vishal

Dhanush is not just an actor, but also a producer, lyricist (or 'poetu' in his own words) and singer. The latest update about the multifaceted personality is that- he has crooned a song in Sandakozhi 2.

According to sources, Dhanush has crooned a melody number in Vishal’s Sandakozhi 2. Yuvan Shankar Raja is scoring the music for the film, which is being directed by Lingusamy.

A sequel to the successful Sandakozhi (2005), the film features Vishal, Keerthy Suresh and Rajkiran in the lead roles and has Varalaxmi Sarathkumar and Soori in other pivotal roles. The film began production during September 2017.

Following the release of Anjaan in August 2014, Linguswamy took a brief sabbatical before simultaneously completing two scripts, Yenni Ezhu Naal for actor Karthi and a sequel to his successful Sandakozhi (2005) for Vishal.

The casting process began in mid-2015, with Rajkiran retained to reprise his role from the original film alongside Vishal, while Soori was signed for a new role.

Vishal then revealed that production would start in February and that the film would have the city of Madurai as its backdrop.
