H Raja alleges irregularities in temples, Tamilisai talks about NOTA

There were some developments in the BJP camp on Monday, with the party's senior leaders L Ganesan, H Raja and Tamilisai Soundararajan expressing views on various issues to the media.

Rajya Sabha MP Ganesan on Monday urged the Tamil Nadu government to take steps to start Navodaya schools in the state.

"Navodaya schools were not started in Tamil Nadu for the only reason that only Hindi is being taught in them. The government should re-think and take steps to start Navodaya schools," he said.

National secretary Raja has alleged irregularities in the administration of temples in the state by Hindu Religious and Charitable Endowment (HR and CE) board saying time has come for the Hindu community to protect the shrines.

"The HR and CE board is not functioning effectively at all. An Act should be brought to protect Hindu temples and properties attached to it."

BJP state president Tamilisai Soundararajan on Monday appealed to voters to vote for a candidate who had ability and honesty.

"Dear friends who vote for NOTA. Vote for one person among the candidates after studying their ability and honesty," she said in a tweet in Tamil. "Can good candidates also be ignored," she added.
