Vimal, who is getting ready for the release of his long pending Mannar Vagaiyara, has filed a complaint against Murugan, producer of Arvind Swamy's Pongal release Bhaskar Oru Rascal.
In his complaint to the Nadigar Sangam, the Kalavani actor said, "I bought 25 lakhs from Anbu Chezhiyan's Gopuram Films and 65 lakhs from Lakshmi Movie Makers when I acted under Murugan's production in Jannal Oram, after the producer asked me for a financial help during the film's release."
He added: "But until now, Murugan hasn't settled the amount. I had borrowed money for high interest rates and due to the unwarranted financial trouble, I couldn't concentrate in films"
Vimal urged Nadigar Sangam to intervene in this issue and get back his 90 lakhs from Murugan before the release of Bhaskar Oru Rascal.
Meanwhile, the trailer of Mannar Vagaiyara was released on Christmas day and it has got all the ingredients to attract the masses.
Mannar Vagaiyara is written and directed by Boopathy Pandian and produced by Arasu Films. After Raja Sekar’s Maapla Singam Vimal is in the lead role in this film.
