Tamil Nadu Chief Secretary Girija Vaidyanathan has been admitted to a private hospital in Chennai and Chief Minister K Palaniswami on Sunday met her and enquired about her health.
Finance secretary K Shanmugam will hold additional charge as the chief secretary of Tamil Nadu government, a Girija Vaidyanathan has been admitted to hospital after she fell down in the secretariat recently.
The CM on Sunday visited the Apollo Hospital, where 58-year old Vaidyanathan had been admitted for some illness and evaluation, and enquired about her health.
The CS was getting into her car at the secretariat to meet the CM at his camp office on Greenways Road at RA Puram in the city, when she slipped and fell down.
A photograph released by the government showed Palaniswami giving the chief secretary a bouquet in the hospital. It said the Chief Minister enquired about her health.
