A 22-year old man, nabbed from Mumbai on the charge of killing his mother recently and raping and murdering a seven year old girl early this year, was brought here and remanded to judicial custody on Sunday.

During the 12-hour long interrogation that started late last night and ended Sunday noon, techie S Dhashwanth has reportedly revealed many shocking details to the police.

Dhashvwnth, unemployed for the most part since his graduation, had a few weeks ago decided to kill his parents, Sarala and A Sekhar, because they refused to give him money.

"He was also angry with his parents because they constantly berated him," the officer said.

“I killed my mother because she was angry with my behaviour. Had my father been at home at that moment, I would have murdered him too,” said he.

Dhashwanth was produced before a magistrate who remanded him to judicial custody. He was later lodged in the Puzhal Central Prison.
