Sivakarthikeyan's Velaikkaran for Vinayaka Chathurthi

The release date of Sivakarthikeyan's upcoming film Velaikkaran has been unveiled. The movie directed by Mohan Raja will hit the screens on Vinayaka Chathurthi day.

"Well, a sincere ‘Velaikkaran’ (Labourer) will always remain close to everyone’s heart and that is so much evident with Sivakarthikeyan’s success graph in his career," said a press statement.

"The combination of Sivakarthikeyan-RD Raja on their maiden debut ‘REMO’ has turned the spotlights beyond the boundaries. Right from the moment, the official announcement was made upon their second collaboration, that too with a promising filmmaker like Mohan Raja getting onboard; it’s been heavy downpour of gold rush."

Conveying his birthday wishes to Sivakarthikeyan with beautiful poetic phrase “My hearty birthday wishes to the one and only ‘Velaikkaran’ who beautifies the essence of hard work,” and furthermore adds, “Velaikkaran will speak about the glory of labourers, who sweat and work with heart and soul.”

Scheduled for release on August 25 for the festive occasion of Vinayaga Chathurthi, the first look of this film will be unveiled on May 1st, 2017 marking the ‘Labour Day’.

Velaikkaran is a social-commercial entertainer comprising of a power factory performers like Fahadh Faasil, Nayanthara, Prakash Raj, Sneha, Rohini, RJ Balaji, Satish and Robo Shankar. The film’s technical crew is yet more promising to see Anirudh (Music), Ramji (Cinematography) and Vivek Harshan (Editing).
