Jyothika in Bala's next

Director Bala is credited with the grooming of Suriya as actor, with films like Nandha and Pithamagan. And now, he is set to join froces with Suriya's wife Jyothika.

It is said that the discussion on the project is in the final stages and an official announcement on the same will be made soon.

After Tharai Thappattai (2016), Bala had plans to work on a film, which had singer Pragathi Guruprasad and Yuvan of Sattai fame, in the lead. However, it looks like the project has been shelved.

Jyothika, on the other hand has completed shooting and dubbing for Bramma’s Magalir Mattum and awaits the release of this women-centric film.

Remember that Bala's wife Malar and Jo are thick friends. Sources also inform us that Suriya has already allotted separate office space for story discussion and soon, one can expect an official confirmation soon.

Bala's 2001 film Nandha gave Suriya his first major solo hit at the box office and garnered critical acclaim for his performance too. And the director’s 2003 film Pithamagan is another landmark film in the actor’s career.
