Kamal to clear decks for Vishwaroopam 2

Kamal Haasan has said he is getting personally involved in clearing the path for the release of Vishwaroopam 2, the much-anticipated second part in the Vishwaroopam franchise.

"For all looking forward to 'Vishwaroopam 2', I'm personally getting involved to clear the path. Bigger obstacles are out of the way. What's left is tech and legal," Kamal tweeted.

He said he is now personally involved in clearing all the obstacles for its release. However, Kamal added that the post-production work of the film will take about 6 months.

“4 all looking forward to VR2. Am personally getting in 2 clear the path. Bigger obstacles are out of the way," the actor-filmmaker said.

He added: "Whats left istechnical & legal. But bear with my team and me. Post will take 6months."

The film features himself alongside Rahul Bose, Pooja Kumar and Andrea Jeremiah, reprising their roles. While the first film was set in the United States, Vishwaroopam II is set to take place in India.

Produced by Venu Ravichandran in Tamil, the film is also being produced by Ekta Kapoor and Shobha Kapoor in Hindi as Vishwaroop II.
