Sivakarthikeyan is Velaikaaran

Director Mohan Raja has announced the title of his upcoming film with Sivakarthikeyan as Velaikkaran. He made the announcement on the actor’s birthday (February 17).

The Mohan Raja directorial will star a humongous cast featuring Nayanthara, Prakash Raj, Fahadh Faasil, Sneha, Rohini, RJ Balaji and Sathish in pivotal roles.

After the commercial success of his remontic comedy Remo, Sivakarthikeyan is joining hands with director Mohan Raja for this movie.

On Friday, Sivakarthikeyan celebrated his birthday with Velaikkaran movie team. A huge cake was cut in the presence of team members.

Interesting fact is that Velaikkaran is the title of Superstar Rajinikanth’s yesteryear hit and RD Raja has bought necessary permission from the original producers ‘Kavithalaya’.

Velaikkaran is expected to release in August this year. The movie is likely to deal with the serious issue of how a young man from the slums fights against food adulteration.
