The list of Pongal releases is getting interesting. With already Suriya's Thaana Serndha Koottam and other films there, two more flicks have joined now.
They are Udhayanidhi Stalin's Nimir and Vikram's Sketch. Nimir directed by veteran filmmaker Priyadarshan has got a clean ‘U’ certificate from the censor board.
Sources say that the makers had plans to release the film for Pongal keeping in the mind that either Sketch or Thaanaa Serndha Koottam would back out from the Pongal race.
On his Twitter page, Udhayanidhi Stalin has tweeted that a special announcement on Nimir will be made soon.
However, Vikram’s commercial potboiler Sketch has been censored with UA certificate and confirmed its presence in the Pongal battle.
The makers of the film also released a special promo subtly attacking the opposite camp for feeling happy about the uncertainty in the censor and release plans of Sketch.
