Karthi's next to have Ambani's funding

After Theeran Adhigaram Ondru, Karthi is currently busy shooting for Kadaikutti Singam directed by Pandiraj. Meanwhile, he has signed on the dotted line for a new movie too.

Newcomer Rajath, an erstwhile associate of Anurag Kashyap, will direct the yet untitled movie, which will be produced by Lakshman of Prince Pictures, producer of Suriya’s Singam II.

Interestingly, the film will have funding by Reliance Entertainment, which is also funding Suriya’s upcoming film with director Selvaraghavan.

It may be recalled that Reliance Entertainment had funded Karthi’s hit cop action thriller film Theeran Adhigaram Ondru. So we can say the partnership is growing and continuing.

Recently, Kadaikutti Singam ran into trouble, following a rekla race scene which was shot for the movie.

Officials from Performing Animals Sub Committee (PASC) of the Animal Welfare Board of India (AWBI) had reportedly said the permission for rekla race shooting was denied by the committee and that the makers went ahead with the shoot without any approval.
