Just a couple of days after the teaser of Rajinikanth's Kaala was leaked hours before its official launch, the teaser of the much-anticipated sci-fi film 2.0 seems to have met the same fate.
Twitter went on an overdrive on Sunday after the leak, with the hashtag '2Point0' trending in the morning.
The one-and-a-half-minute video is shot of the screening of the Tamil teaser on a big screen outdoors and is hence blurry, but there’s no doubt that there’s something grand in store for the fans.
Meanwhile, fans and analysts all around have condemned the piracy. Though there were a few fans who were elated to get a glimpse of their Thalaivar in the teaser, most of them were extremely unhappy by this act.
Filmmaker and Rajini's daughter Soundarya Rajinikanth tweeted: "Leaking content online before the official release should not be TOLERATED or ENCOURAGED !"
She added: "This is a heartless act ignoring hard work, efforts and sentiments of the makers for few seconds of excitement !!! #BeAshamed #StopPiracy #StopMisusingDigitalMedium."
Directed by Shankar, 2.0 has Rajinikanth, Akshay Kumar and Amy Jackson playing the lead roles and Oscar winner AR Rahman composing the music.
