There were lately reports that Gautami's daughter Subhalaxmi will make her acting debut in a film to be directed by Bala.
Clearing the air on it, Gautami tweeted: "Taken aback to see news about my daughter's acting debut. Subhalaxmi is committed to her studies and has no plans for acting now. Thank you all for your blessings on her."
It was said that the young woman will make her acting debut in the Tamil remake of Telugu hit Arjun Reddy. The film has Vikram's son Dhruv in the lead.
The movie has been titled Varma and is being directed by Bala, who is basking in the success of his latest film Naachiyar.
It may be recalled that it was Bala’s Sethu that changed Vikram’s career altogether.
Recently, Gautami said women have the responsibility of addressing health requirements of family as well as society.
Speaking at the Women’s Day Celebrations organised by the department of Nutrition and Dietetics of the Madras Medical Mission here, she said there are high incidences of non-communicable disease like cardiac disease, diabetes, cancer in women.
