Cinematographer Priyan passes away

Cinematographer Priyan, who is a regular for almost all the films of director Hari, passed away on Thursday due to sudden heart attack.

Priyan started his career as an assistant in the camera unit of actor producer K. Balaji and worked with cinematographer-director Balu Mahendra in many films.

He also worked with cinematographer-director Rajiv Menon before making his debut as cinematographer in Thotta Chinungi in 1995.

Barring Vengai, Priyan cranked the camera for all films helmed by Hari. He was also handling the camera for Hari's upcoming film Saamy Square, which has Vikram and Keerty Suresh in the lead roles.

The Kollywood industry is completely shocked with the sad demise of one of its leafing cinematographers.

Condolences poured in on social media expressing shock over the sudden demise of the ace cinematographer. He is survived by wife and two daughters.

“Kind, professional and extremely hard working cinematographer #Priyan is no more. Gone too soon. R.I.P sir. Deepest condolences to his kin,” tweeted Siddharth.

Singer-actor Krish said, "It was a pleasure working with #cinematographer #Priyan Sir.. Passes away… one of the Nicest person… My Sincere Condolences and prayers to his Family… May his soul Rest In Peace."
