Actor Ramachandran - Aramm

Films that hog historic lime light both in terms of critical and commercial acclaim need enormous internal support. ‘Aramm’ the film that is being celebrated all over is blessed with stupendous acting by the supporting actors. Beyond the scintillating script, power packed performance of the lead artiste, soul searching music, a film needs the role of the supporting actors to click and connect with the audience. One such brilliant performer in ‘Aramm’ was Ramachandran who played the father of the child who falls into the pit.

Ramachandran who did notable impressive characters earlier in ‘Naan Mahaan Alla’, ‘ Jigardhanda’ and ‘Sathuranga vettai’ has made every one sit up and take notice of his important role and realistic performance in the latest super hit ‘Aramm’, which is receiving accolades from all quarters.

Speaking about it , Ramachandran says, “ I am basically from Theni. I came to Chennai around 17 years back for work and I wanted to join as an assistant cinematographer. But I landed up being an assistant director and started doing small roles as an actor. One led to another and eventually became friends with director Gopi Nainar and got this wonderful opportunity in ‘Aramm’. When Gopi sir gave me ‘Aramm’ script for reading I just loved it throughly and asked him who all are playing the key roles without knowing I am going to do one. Even when I read it, i realised and got my self connected to this role. The weather condition in ‘Aramm’ shooting spot was unbearable and people used to faint and fall at times. Gopi Sir’s vision, script, passion and hardwork was amazing. He was very clear in what he wanted out of actors. I am indebted to him for having given me such a role in ‘Aramm’. Nayanthara madam was such a simple human being inspite of being such s huge star. She encouraged me a lot and was always pleasant. Producer Rajesh Sir’s hospitality and the way he treated everyone on the sets was so touching. I am very happy with the response ‘Aramm’ and my role in it is getting from the Tamil cinema audience and I am looking forward to do many such solid roles “.
