It is learnt that the income tax raids on the family and aides of expelled AIADMK general secretary V K Sasikala would continue.
According to reports, officials are scrutinising things and documents seized from the 187 places raided already and also those seized from Poes Garden residence of Jayalalithaa. "Based on the outcome, raids might continue," sources said.
Income Tax sleuths on Friday conducted searches in the office block of the Poes Garden residence of late Tamil Nadu chief minister J Jayalalithaa.
Following inputs, a search operation was launched in the office block and a room used by jailed and deposed AIADMK leader V K Sasikala at Veda Nilayam, the Poes Garden residence.
Late night drama erupted in Chennai after the income tax department conducted search and recovery operation at the Poes Garden home of Jayalalithaa.
A laptop, a desktop and 4 pen drives have been seized from a room that was being used by Sasikala. The Sasikala faction questioned why Jayalalithaa's house was being targeted and said it was a witch hunt by the EPS government.
