Uber rewards top driver partners at partner appreciation event in Kolkata

Uber, the smartphone app that has transformed urban mobility for millions of commuters, today rewarded its top driver partners for customer service excellence at a partner appreciation event in Kolkata. The event saw an audience of more than 500 driver partners with their family members, UberDOSTs and fleet owners celebrate along with Uber executives at an event organised to felicitate top driver partners.

Organised as part of Uber’s flagship recognition programme “UberHEROES”, the company recognised top drivers in the region across 7 categories including longest serving driver partner, partner with highest ratings, most well performing DOSTs among others.

Under this recognition programme, Uber evaluates the performance of its driver- partners basis customer experience and satisfaction. The event is organised as part of Uber’s efforts to recognise and celebrate its top driver partners and encourage other microentrepreneurs on the platform.

Speaking at the event, Mr. Pradeep Parmeswaran, Head of Central Operations, Uber India said, “We are pleased to recognise the best amongst the best through our initiative uberHEROES, as we recognise the efforts of our driver partners who have consistently provided superior experience to our riders. With this event we wish to bring together our driver-partner community to inspire, encourage and celebrate those who move our cities.”

The gala evening had its share of glitz with Kolkata’s most popular RJ Praveen leading the festivities followed by mega-performances by Freeze and Burn artists and legendary singer Ms. Usha Uthup.
