According to a press release, the City Police Commissioner has ordered the detention of persons who indulged in criminal activities and acts which cause disturbance to peace.
The police said Thirumurugan Gandhi has criminal cases against him in Saidapet, Egmore, Royapettah and Nungambakkam police stations.
