Vishal organises food and water for rain victims

Actor Vishal, who is the president of Tamil Film Producers Council and general secretary of South Indian Artistes Association, has announced that he is organising food and water for rain victims.



"Organising Food & Water...will be available from tomorrow @ my office in Vadapalani....." he posted on twitter.



He added: "Chennai Rescue Team, I think it's time to get ready !!"



Actor and RJ Balaji, who is known for his rescue and relief activities during 2015 floods, posted on Twitter: "People stranded around Nungambakkam area can use the Big FM office to stay for the night. Have informed ppl thre."



He added: "The only thing that is very strong in our memories from 2015 floods, is to remain human. Lets b kind and help each other. We are good."



It may be recalled that during 2015, actors from the Tamil Nadu film fraternity came forward to help those affected by rains in Chennai. Never one to shy away from duty, superstar Rajinikanth had donated Rs 10 lakh to the Chief Minister’s Public Relief Fund, in the wake of unprecedented rains in Chennai.



A statement said the donation was paid through Sri Raghavendra Public Charitable Trust, operated by Rajinikanth.
