MK Stalin, Working President of DMK, watched his son Udhayanidhi’s upcoming film Ippadai Vellum at Le Magic Lantern preview theater in Chennai and appreciated the entire team.
Taking to Facebook, Gaurav Narayanan, director of Ippadai Vellum, said that after watching the film, Stalin told him “This crew will definitely win”.
Uploading pics with Stalin, Durga Stalin, and Udhayanidhi, Gaurav added: “After the show Thalapathi said “IPPADAI NICHAYAM VELLUM”So Happy and honored sir. God’s grace”.
“Every character is linked with the other. Viewers will be riveted to the screen and the speedy narration will not allow them to even pick up their popcorn. It’s an edge-of-the-seat thriller,” the director said.
Ippadai Vellum is an action comedy film written and directed by Gaurav, starring Udhayanidhi Stalin and Manjima Mohan in the leading roles, with Daniel Balaji, R. K. Suresh and Soori in supporting roles. The film began production during September 2016.
In May 2015, Gaurav Narayanan revealed that he had finished preparation for his third film script titled Ippadai Vellum and was looking to cast actors.
Lyca Productions agreed to fund the venture in June 2016, with Udhayanidhi Stalin signed on to play the lead role.
