Panneerselvam goes to Koovathur, Edappadi writes to governor

After he issued an emotional appeal to MLAs to join him, chief minister O Panneerselvam left for Koovathur to invite them personally.

In the meantime, minister Edappadi Palanisamy, who has been elected as the AIADMK legislature party leader, has urged governor Ch Vidyasagar Rao to invite to form the government.

Meanwhile, Sasikala today sacked all in OPS camp, including Panneerselvam, from the primary membership of the party.

In the statement, Panneerselvam requested the MLAs to follow the principles of Jayalalithaa and remain united and do the public work left by her.

"Our rivals have been waiting for a split in the party. We should not give room to that. If it happens, the spirits of MGR and Amma will not forgive us," he said.

In his letter to governor, Palanisamy said, ""I may be given an appointment to submit the list of AIADMK MLAs those who are supporting me as the Leader of the AIADMK Legislature Party along with our ten party leaders and I may be invited to form the Cabinet".
