Sounding a warning bell once again, Kamal Haasan on Wednesday night warned the Chennai civic authorities of grave consequences if they overlooked the present situation of water bodies in the metropolis.
In a Twitter post, he said that lakes surrounding the city will be full anytime which could lead to another flood-like situation.
"Laws have been breached, and truth has been hidden to sell parts of lakes and ponds as residential properties," added the actor-filmmaker.
Meanwhile, replying to a petitioner who asked the Madras high court to direct them to register a case against Kamal Haasan over the Nilavembu row, the Chennai city police have said there is no prima facie case against the actor.
The actor had requested his supporters, through his Twitter handle -@ikamalhaasan -on October 25, not to offer the drink to anyone without scientific proof that it cured dengue, amid an outbreak of the disease across the state.
In a letter issued to the complainant Devarajan on October 27, the Chennai Police stated, “There was nothing criminal in the tweet which would require action to be taken.”
