Santhanam as hero in Rajesh's next

Except Kadavul Irukaan Kumaru, all films of director Rajesh had Santhanam playing the second lead, mostly as a comedian.
But in a new project, the director has decided to cast Santhanam as the solo lead. The project, source say, will roll out from the month of August.

In his interview to an English daily, Rajesh has confirmed that he has narrated the script to Santhanam and plans to commence the shoot in July or August. Nothing else has been finalised about the project as of now.

Santhanam is presently busy with Odi Odi Uzahiakanum, Sakka Podu Podu Raja and Mannavan Vanthanadi.

"Once he finishes these commitments, we will start work on our project. Talks are on with a few heroines, but nobody has been finalised yet,” says Rajesh.

The director adds that he's excited about casting Santhanam as the solo hero and says, "Now, that's the highlight of the film," he says.
