Tamilisai gets death threat again

Bharatiya Janata Party state unit president Tamilisai Soundararajan has received a letter, in which the sender has threatened to kill her.

This is the third threat to her in the recent times, it is said. But the BJP leader said she is not afraid of such threats and would continue to serve the country.

Tamilisai Soundararajan, on her birthday last week, received threat calls from anonymous numbers, where the caller verbally abused her.

In a complaint lodged at the Virugambakkam police station, Tamilisai claimed that three calls were received from three different numbers. The calls were made continuously at the same time. The caller, a male, issued life threats to Tamilisai.

Last year too, Tamilisai Soundararajan allegedly received a death threat demanding she withdraw her nomination from the electoral race.

The message reads, "If you do not withdraw your candidature, I will run a car or a lorry over you and kill you, Tamilisai. Long live our Amma."
