DMK working president M K Stalin has raised doubts about whether the present AIADMK government in Tamil Nadu will last till June 14 when the Assembly is scheduled to meet.
Speaking to reporters, the DMK leader wondered whether the present regime will survive till the Assembly session commences on June 14.
The leader of opposition in Tamil Nadu Assembly sarcastically said that in case the state government survived, the DMK would do its "democratic duty."
“I would like to know how many factions are there in the AIADMK. The party had split into two after Jayalalithaa’s death. Now it has become three factions (with some MLAs expressing support to TTV Dinakaran). At this rate, a question arises as to how many more such factions would be formed.
“It leads to a doubt if the government would last till the next Assembly session is convened,” Stalin said.
Asked about the cabinet's decision to keep chief minister Edappadi K Palaniswami's photo on the tables of all ministers, Stalin said: "Even photos of Jayalalithaa, who was convicted in wealth case, are there in all government offices. So there is nothing wrong in having chief minister's pictures."
