Sasikala parole ends, Court asks cops not to disturb TTV supporters

The parole of V K Sasikala, the expelled AIADMK leader who is facing jail term in disproportionate assets case, is ending today.



She is expected to go back to Bengaluru jail, after visiting her husband Natarajan at a hospital in Chennai today.



Meanwhile, the Madras High Court on Tuesday directed police not to harass sidelined AIADMK leader TTV Dhinakaran, the party's Karnataka unit secretary V Pugazhenthi and others, booked for allegedly defaming the prime minister and the Tamil Nadu chief minister.



Refusing to stay the sedition case filed against Dhinakaran, the Madras High Court on Tuesday told the Tamil Nadu police that no action should initiated against the former still further orders.



The court's order comes as a relief to Dinakaran who was facing arrest anytime in the case.



Dhinakaran and few of his supporters were recently booked in connection with distribution of pamphlets in Salem district allegedly containing defamatory remarks against Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Tamil Nadu Chief Minister K Palaniswami.
