நடிகை யமுனா பேசுகையில்,‘ நீண்ட இடைவெளிக்கு பிறகு இது போன்ற ஒரு கேரக்டரில் நடிக்கிறேன். ராஜேஷ் சார் தான் இந்த கேரக்டரை நீ தான் செய்யவேண்டும் என்று சொன்னார். வித்தியாசமான கேரக்டர்.’ என்றார்.

நடிகர் நகுல் பேசுகையில்,‘ ஒரு நீண்ட இடைவெளிக்கு பிறகு நான் நடித்திருக்கும் படம் செய். இதில் சரவெடி சரவணன் என்ற கேரக்டரில் நடிக்கிறேன். அனைத்து கமர்சியல் எலிமெண்ட்டுகளும் சரியான அளவில் இருக்கும் படம் இது. படத்தின் இசையமைப்பாளர் நிக்ஸ் லோபஸ் பற்றி சொல்லவேண்டும் என்றால், முதலில் சற்று தயக்கமாகத்தான் இருந்தது. அவர் கம்போசிங் செய்த பாடலை கேட்டவுடனே நான் தீர்மானித்துவிட்டேன். இவர் வேற லெவலுக்கு உயர்வார் என்று தெரிந்தது. யுகபாரதி எழுதிய, ‘ஊரெல்லாம் என் கட்அவுட் நிக்குமே.. பேப்பரெல்லாம் என்ன அச்சடிச்சி விக்குமே..’ எனத் தொடங்கும் பாடல் ஒரு ஆக்டரா என்னோட பேவரைட். ‘நடிகா நடிகா..’ எனத் தொடங்கும் பாடலை, 15000 அடி உயரத்தில் ஆக்ஸிஜன் குறைவாக இருக்கும் இடத்தில் வைத்து படமாக்கினார்கள். அந்த காட்சி படமாக்கப்படும் போது கடினமாக இருந்தது. ஆனால் காட்சியாக பார்க்கும் போது வியப்பாக இருந்தது. மனதிற்கு திருப்தியாக இருந்தது. இயக்குநர் ராஜ்பாபு சார் ஸ்பாட்டில் என்ன தேவையோ அதை மனதிற்குள்ளேயே எடிட் செய்து படமாக்கியது அவரது அனுபவத்தை எடுத்துக் காட்டியது. படக்குழுவினருக்கு அனைவருக்கும் வாழ்த்துகள். இந்த விழாவிற்கு வி ஐ பி கள் என்று யாருமில்லை. படக்குழுவினரும் ஊடகங்களும் தான் இங்கு வி ஐ பி. இதற்காகவும் ஒரு நன்றியைத் தெரிவித்துக் கொள்கிறேன்.’ என்றார்.

Madhan Karky reveals interesting details about 2.0

Lyricist Madhan Karky, at a recent interaction, revealed some interesting details about Superstar Rajinikanth's much awaite upcoming film 2.0.

He said that director Shankar originally approached the script without songs. As the film progressed, Shankar thought of a song situation where two robots love each other and when he asked Madhan Karky to pen the lyrics, the catchy grand ‘Indhira Logathu Sundariye’ was born.

At present, the film has three songs composed by Oscar-Grammy winner AR Rahman including Indhira Logathu, Raajali, and the third song will be out next year.

2.0 is an upcoming Indian science fiction film written and directed by S. Shankar, co-written by B. Jeyamohan, and produced by Subaskaran Allirajah, founder of Lyca Productions.

This is first Indian film that is directly shot in 3D. The movie serves as a sequel to the 2010 Tamil film Enthiran, and features Rajinikanth reprising the roles of Dr. Vaseegaran and Chitti, alongside Akshay Kumar and Amy Jackson.

The film will be shot simultaneously in Tamil and Hindi.With an estimated budget of ₹450 crore (US$70 million), it is the most expensive Indian film made to date.

A dubbed version in Telugu will release alongside the original Tamil and Hindi versions. The film's worldwide premiere is scheduled for 25 January 2018, and the film is expected to be released in 15 languages.

Kamal restarts Vishwaroopam 2

After a long break, Kamal Haasan has resumed work on his long pending project Vishwaroopam 2. Plans are on to release the movie soon.

The shoot is progressing at a full swing. Kamal is planning to wrap up the film within this year and if all goes well, the spy thriller will hit the screens in April 2018.

The cast of the film include the actors who were part of Vishwaroopam and the new surprise addition, veteran actor Waheeda Rehman.

Since Kamal Haasan was involved in a lot of controversies recently, the last portion of the shoot was unfinished until now. Financial reasons too are said to be behind the delay.

Written and directed by Kamal Haasan, it is the sequel to Vishwaroopam (2013) and features himself alongside Rahul Bose, Pooja Kumar and Andrea Jeremiah, reprising their roles. While the first film was set in the United States, Vishwaroopam II is set to take place in India.

Produced by Venu Ravichandran in Tamil, the film is also being produced by Ekta Kapoor and Shobha Kapoor in Hindi as Vishwaroop II.

TTV Dhinakaran to contest in RK Nagar, AIADMK to announce candidate today

The TTV Dhinakaran camp on Wednesday officially announced that the ousted AIADMK leader will contest the December 21 Radhakrishnan Nagar (RK Nagar) bypoll.

The beleaguered leader, who unsuccessfully fought for the two-leaves symbol with the Election Commission, said he has decided to contest the by-poll in deference to the views of senior leaders.

All out efforts will be taken to retrieve the two-leaves symbol, Dhinakaran told reporters.

This comes just days after AIADMK announced a "restructuring" of its parliamentary board to select a candidate for the bypoll. The ruling camp is expected to name its candidate today.

The Sasikala faction said this decision was taken with the consent of jailed AIADMK leader VK Sasikala, who is also Dhinakaran's aunt.

Dhinakaran was contesting the bye election with the "approval" of his aunt, the deposed AIADMK leader V K Sasikala, he added. Dhinakaran earlier contested the April 12 bypoll to the constituency, as then AIADMK (Amma) candidate.

Nurses drop strike after high court calls it illegal

The Madras high court on Wednesday stayed the three-day-old strike by nurses in Tamil Nadu, prompting the protesting nurses to call it off.

The first bench, comprising Chief Justice Indira Banerjee and Justice M.Sundar, passed an interim order restraining the Tamil Nadu MRB Nurses Empowerment Association and MRB Nurses Welfare Association from taking recourse to strike.

"Strike called by persons, who are engaged in providing essential services, is called for stern action. We thus deem it appropriate to declare the strike as illegal," the court said.

Nurses from different parts of Tamil Nadu have been on strike demanding better wages than the Rs 7,500 per month they get paid now and absorption as permanent staff in government hospitals.

Thousands of nurses, in their white uniform, assembled on the grounds inside the Directorate of Medical and Rural Health Services complex here, protesting they are employed as contract workers and paid a consolidated sum irrespective of the hours of work they put in.

Officials, who announced the interim orders of the court to more than 2,000 nurses holding a sit-in agitation on the Directorate of Medical Services campus in Chennai, said the court had given them time till Thursday evening to rejoin duty and that till then no coercive measures would be taken against them.

Nivetha Pethuraj opposite Vishnu

Nivetha Pethuraj, who is on the track to become a leading heroine of Kollywood, will be seen playing the female lead in Vishnu Vishal's film with Ezhil.

Already, she is part of Jayam Ravi's Tik Tik Tik an Venkat Prabhu's Party, it may be recalle.

"She has been choosing her scripts carefully and found her role in the Vishnu-Ezhil film intriguing," sources say.

Nivetha Pethuraj was born in Madurai. She spent early schooling in Thoothukudi, settled in Dubai for over 13 years.

She attended Dubai’s Crescent English High School and holds a degree in human resources management from Heriot Watt University in Dubai.

Debut with Notable Director movie but yet to get a fan following for urself..?

Ya i agree.. Debut under a big banner with an established director Kasturi Raja sir, a top heroine like kiran was a blessing to me.,due to some circumstances the movie doesn't reach the audience well. Due to that, i waited for two years to sign my next movie pugaipadam. To get audience love for an actor, success is the key nowadays. Success decides the fate of a movie as well as the actor.

Even a successful actor vikram's (who was then a struggling actor) talent was recognized through his movie Sethu which was promoted by the audience through a word of mouth and it took more than 4 days to get a wider reach.. But in today's scenario due to the advent of Social media just takes lesa than 4 hours to decide the fate of a movie. The word of mouth promotion has reduced to a wider extent and before the movie and the actor's skill reaches the audience, the work almost gets unnoticeable. Crossing these hurdles and reaching to the mass audience is itself a challenge today.

Goripalayam gave you a huge break... ?!!

Of course. After completing two movies, the movie Goripalayam brought me into the limelight and gave a good recognition but the movies after that failed to create the much needed impact despite giving my full efforts and the chances to prove my individual identity reduced. Even after being choosy about scripts and taking challenging roles didn't help me much.. There after am struggling like a debut actor to prove myself.

With the changing times.. What kind of challenges do you face as an upcoming actor?

A person new to the cinema can change the profession after the failure of a movie but being a person with film background i grew up inspired by films and they always keep me in awe. How can i leave it and go elsewhere.? I am searching from the place where i lost. In that struggle to balance a place for myself i had to do one or two movies which had gone wrong.

But i gave my 100% efforts and gave my best shot in those movies too. A director, even after 10 failed movies can prove himself again after a period of time but for an actor who has starred in below average grossers,the chances to prove himself are very low.

Being a son of a famous editor is a strength or a weakness?

Its both strength and weakness. My Father being a successful editor for more than 100 films is like a blessing in disguise as i can go and meet many people in the industry but the offers we get is determined by our success rather than what we are and our background in the film industry.. Its very important to work hard to keep ourselves upgraded and prolong in this field.

In this film fraternity, My dad earned a great name without even a small blackmark.. My childhood was spent mostly in his editing room in front of his editing table watching the impressive movie of the legends like the superstar and ulaganayagan, i grew up learning various aspects of acting and skills related to that only through them. I had worked with the legendary director Mr.K.Balachandar for his Tv series Production Minbimbangal. Its the strength which i inherited from my father. I can't deny the fact that had he been alive today. He would have been my greatest support system.

In the coming day,what kind of challenges do you expect for the release of your movies?

I have selected a very nice script and have signed up for the movie.. The shooting is about to start in some days. After the shoot gets over and even if it goes to a good distributor, releasing the movie will be challenging for us,the fate for deciding the results of a small budget movies is 1 day and the big budget movies are decided in just 3days.

I felt honored when my father and I received a shield from the superstar rajinikanth on the 175th day celebration of the blockbuster movie Baasha but today if a movie runs for 25days its considered to be a big hit and silver jubilee movie. Audience have evolved now and they have started expecting different kinds of movies and always see which comes better one after the other. Achieving success in kind of status today is a challenge by itself and one needs to be calculative about the different expectations involved.

Success or failure we need four people around us to share it.." I am searching four people for myself to carve a niche and i ll overcome the obstacles and emerge successfully ", says this confident young actor.
