Vikram has announced that his son Dhruv will be making his film debut by starring in the Tamil remake of the Telugu hit film, Arjun Reddy.
"@dhruv.vikram.. ready to make the leap. #DhruvtobeArjunReddy..." he posted on the social media.
The original, which starred Vijay Devarakonda and Shalini Pandey, was a big hit in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana.
Producer Mukesh Mehta wrote on his Facebook page: "We are extremely happy to share that Dhruva Vikram will be essaying the lead in the Tamil version of Arjun Reddy."
He added: "We are honoured by the opportunity and confidence shown in us by Vikram and we will work towards making it a memorable launch."
The film tells the story of a young and brilliant medico Arjun with anger management issues. The film received critical acclaim and gained a cult following among youth in Telangana and Andhra Pradesh.
The film has faced controversies and censor issues but has received positive reviews.
