Expelled AIADMK general secretary V K Sasikala would apply for parole to visit her husband M Natarajan, who is in the intensive care unit of a hospital in Chennai, receiving treatments for multiple ailments.
The 74-year-old Natarajan, considered the brain behind Sasikala’s stranglehold on late Chief Minister Jayalalithaa, was admitted to the Gleneagles Global Health City on the outskirts of Chennai following liver and kidney failure in addition to lung congestion.
Natarajan has a history of chronic liver disease and he has been receiving treatment from GleneaglesGlobal Health City for the last six months for his illness.
“He has been registered with the Tamil Nadu Organ Sharing (TNOS) waiting list for deceased donor liver transplantation. Currently, he is admitted at the Liver Intensive Care Unit with decompensated liver disease leading to liver failure, kidney failure and lung congestion,” a hospital spokesperson said.
Sasikala married Natarajan who was a government PRO. Natarajan had introduced Sasikala to Jayalalithaa to supply video tapes of movies.
Eventually Sasikala became close to Jayalalithaa and recorded tapes of her political campaigns. Soon, Natarajan was officially sidelined by Jayalalithaa.
