Rajini catches up all latest films

Even as shooting for 2.0, Superstar Rajinikanth is also watching all promising latest movies.

After watching Kutrram 23 and Motta Siva and Ketta Siva, and appreciating the teams behind the movies, the numero uno actor has now watched Maanagaram and lauded its cast and crew.

The film's director Lokesh Kanagaraj, who was happy on the occasion of his birthday (March 14), became more happy when he received a call from Rajinikanth.

The top actor had called the director to wish him on his birthday and also to congratulate on the film Maanagaram. He had also called the film's producer SR Prabhu.

The director has said he could not ask for a better birthday gift than the call he received from the 'thalaivar'.

Meanwhile, Prabhu posted on his micro-blogging page, "Happy birthday @dir_lokesh ! Glad to announce that #LokeshKanagaraj will direct his next film for us!"

A hyperlink thriller, Maanagaram features Sundeep Kishan, Sri and Regina Cassandra in the lead roles, while Charle and Ramdoss (Munishkanth) play supporting roles. Featuring music composed by Javed Riaz, the film hit the screens last week.
