Sadha to play sex worker

Actress Sadha and Riythvika will be playing the role of sex workers in a film to be helmed by director Abdul Majith.

Abdul says that he would be showcasing another side of the lives of sex workers in his upcoming film, Torchlight.

He adds: "Their life is so different from ours and I felt the need to showcase it. Most women said that they are forced to do so to save their husbands, or provide education to their children, and not as a business to lead a lavish lifestyle. The film would be shot realistically, without exaggerating."

Meanwhile, in a bid to revive her career in cinema, Sadha has apparently consulted a numerologist and gone in for a name change. She will now call herself Sadha Sayed.
Sadha was born in a Muslim family in Ratnagiri, Maharashtra. Her father is a doctor and her mother is a bank executive.

She did her schooling in Ratnagiri's Sacred Hearts Convent High School and then moved to Mumbai, where she was offered director Teja's teenage love story Jayam in Telugu which went on to become one of the biggest blockbusters of that year.
