Velammal’s U-19 Basketball boys team emerged victorious in the Interstate Basketball tournament held in Annai Sathya stadium,Tanjore between 26th September and 1st October 2017, Organised by Mamannan Raja Raja Cholan Rural Educational Trust.16 teams from the other states took part in this Tournament .Velammal’s U-19 Basketball boys team beat Madurai American College school team in the finals and clinched Raja Raja Cholan Trophy successfully. The winners of the tournament were awarded a cash prize of Rs. 27000 and trophies.
