In emotional letter, Stalin urges DMK members to stay united

M K Stalin, who was appointed as the working president of the DMK on Wednesday, on Thursday penned an epistle to party members, emulating his father and Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam president M Karunanidhi.

He said there was no development in the state in the last five years and only the DMK can change the situation.

Stalin described the DMK as the Dravidian movement which protects the welfare of Tamils and said the boldness of E.V.R. Periyar, softness of DMK founder C.N. Annadurai and the strength of party leader M. Karunanidhi are the weapons of the DMK.

“We will use those weapons in the democratic battlefield. We will work unitedly and move in the path shown by Anna under the guidance of Karunanidhi”, he said.

He said, "We should not fight with one another. We should take on anybody who is against Tamil Nadu. We will work towards having a new Tamil Nadu."

He vowed to defeat the internal enemies and the enemies of Tamils to create a new Tamil Nadu and added that the party would protect and develop the Dravidian movement.
