Trisha's next on terror attacks

Trisha has signed a film with an intriguing title — 1818. With debutant Rithun Sagar wielding the megaphone, the project is said to be a thriller, which happens in a 12-hour span against the backdrop of the horrific 26/11 Mumbai attacks.

Rithun says, “Trisha plays a hotel hostess and the film is inspired by the terror attacks that took place in Mumbai on November 26, 2008.”

1818 is a heroine-oriented movie, and the supporting cast includes Suman, Rajhendra Prasad, Brahmmanandam, Ramesh Thilak and Meera Ghoshal.

While Thaman will be composing the music, Om Prakash does the camera work for the thriller. Madan Karky will be penning the lyrics. Sources say that there will be no actor starring opposite Trisha.

"It will be an intense drama set around the terror attacks. Trisha plays a major role in it. We are planning to do the movie in Tamil and Telugu," adds the filmmaker.

At present, Trisha is playing the female lead in Sathuranga Vettai 2 with Arvind Swamy and the main lead in the horror flick Mohini directed by Madhesh.

Soon she will start shooting for Garjanai the Tamil remake of NH 10 and 96 with Vijay Sethupathi. She will also start work on her maiden Malayalam film with Nivin Pauly, later this year.
