On I-day, CM vows to break hurdles, TTV issues warning, OPS silent

Chief Minister Edappadi K Palaniswami, who celebrated his first Independence Day as CM on Tuesday, had a strong message to his opponents in his address after hoisting the national flag.



He said his government's aim is to break the hurdles that are come up in serving the people. He said he would break all the hurdles that come up in serving the people of the State.



Meanwhile, buoyed by the turnout at his rally on Monday, a combative AIADMK (Amma) leader TTV Dhinakaran on Tuesday warned the party factions led by Palaniswami and O Pannerselvam to mend their ways or be prepared to be "mended".
"They should mend their ways and come back to the party fold...or they will be mended," Dhinakaran told reporters in Madurai after offering prayers at the Meenakshi temple.



In the meantime, Panneerselvam, whow as in New Delhi for the past some days and met prime minister Narendra Modi, returned to Chennai on Tuesday. But he did not speak anything to the media.



Reports said that the merger between two AIADMK factions in Tamil Nadu has hit another road block with rebel group led by Panneerselvam demanding chief minister post as well as two ministerial berths to its leaders.
