I would like to thank Arun Vaidyanathan sir for this oppurtunity. It was such a delight to work with Arjun sir. I am so happy to see such a phenomenal response for the movie. Being a Tamil girl, this success becomes even more sweeter and special. My role in Nibunan of a cop's loving and understanding wife who has to balance and handle his sudden health issues and the trauma he goes through solving the case and how it affects his family life too, was really challenging. The insertion of a very intriguing emotional connect in the form of a family drama in an action film has given the film a very huge boost among the women audience. I am very happy i could pull of such an interesting and challenging role. Our whole Nibunan team worked so hard and this success is highly deserving " says Shruthi Hariharan. She is currently doing 'Solo' as one of the four leading ladies opposite Dulquer Salmaan directed by Bejoy Nambiar.

The Film Employees Federation of South India on Thursday called off their two-day stir on a wage revision issue and announced resumption of work from Friday.

Following an assurance by TFPC President Vishal, FEFSI President RK Selvamani announced that they are calling off the strike.

FEFSI is an organisation consisting of technicians from the Tamil film industry and is believed to have around 25,000 members.

The latest development comes a day after the executive members of FEFSI met the senior actors of the industry, including Superstar Rajinikanth, on the matter.

They had also sought the government’s intervention after the member of Producers’ Council showed no interest in talks to resolve the issue.

“Actor Rajinikanth has urged us to set aside our egos. We will participate without placing any preconditions. We have only one condition: don’t divide us,” appealed Selvamani.

“The TFPC has not put forward any preconditions for the talks. We appreciate it and hope the talks are fruitful,” he said.

FEFSI strike: Will Rajini's words have the desired impact?

The logjam between Tamil Film Producers’ Council and the Film Employees Federation of South India (FEFSI) has seen no improvement as the strike stepped into third day today.

FEFSI president R.K. Selvamani met Superstar Rajinikanth to explain FEFSI’s position on the strike as the actor’s next, Kaala, was also stopped.

In a statement soon after the meeting, Rajinikanth urged both FEFSI and TFPC to bring this strike to an end quickly.

"Strike is one among the words I dislike. As a senior actor in the industry, I wish that both FEFSI and TFPC discuss the issue without any ego and bring this strike to an end," said Rajinikanth.

He further said that any issue could be sorted out through  negotiations by keeping in mind the public interest, instead of ego.

"I humbly request the FEFSI and the TFPC to hold talks and find an amicable solution soon", he added.

The strike entered the third day today, affecting

shooting of nearly 40 films, including the Rajinikanth

starrer Kaala and Vijay's Mersal in Chennai.
